In many big sites like NGOs, magazines and colleges which have different domains, the chief admin gets emails from many domains whose information is used in running the whole organization. This includes details from customers, students and partners. It makes it easy unlike getting different emails. If there is a mistype, for example @domainone.com mistyped as @domain-one.com, you will still get the email.
Adding Mail Domain Pointer in WebSitePanel
It is easy to add mail domain pointer by following the simple steps below.
Open WebSitePanel and login to your account. Go to POP/IMAP Email >> Domains where you will see the list of your mail domains from where you can access them.
Select the domain that you want to catch emails from other domains. This will lead you to the Mail Domain Properties screen.
Click on the Add Pointer button to proceed. This directs you to the Mail Domain Pointer screen from where you can set your mail domain pointer.
In this step, you will select the alias/source domain from the list on the dropdown. After selecting the source domain, click the Add button.
Removing Mail Domain Pointer in WebSitePanel
Removing the pointer is as easy as creating it. Follow the steps below to remove the mail domain pointer.On “Mail Domain Properties” page, you can see the mail domain pointer set for the target domain. Next to the mail domain pointer, here is a trush icon, please click it.
You will be presented with a delete confirmation message. Click “Ok” to finalize the process.
