WebMatrix is a free tool of development, which is integrated with many tools for coding, web server admin and database development. One of the most popular tools for development is Web Deploy. In this article, we will introduce the steps of publishing a site using Web Deploy in WebMatrix.
1.Open WebMatrix and find the site your would like to publish in “My Sites” part. Then, click “Publish” Icon.
2.In the new screen, click “Import publish profile”, and find your site profile. If you have not yet, log into your WebSitePanel account to enable Web Deploy and download your file.
3.Once your publish file is imported, you will be led to a new screen. Here, you will see that all the required information is imported, including server, username, password, site name and destination URL. Then, click “Save” button to save your settings. Now, you can publish your site by just clicking the “Publish” button.
